Description
This gorgeous piece of wood is from Equatorial Africa, and goes by the name Bubinga or Kevazingo. It is an exceptionally hard wood to work with due to its density. I started this bowl by rough cutting it to round on the bandsaw, then mounted it to the lathe, woodturned it to a shape of my desired style, and carefully sanded and finished. The rich dark red colouring is all natural, sealed with a high gloss food safe finish, complete with a laser imprinted logo (previous branding) on the bottom. It’s the perfect display plate for cupcakes, veggies, grapes, candies, other small yummy items, or jewellery.
